Mary Barbarow, President
Mary's love for music was inspired by her grandfather "Pop" who bought her first clarinet when she was in the 3rd grade. She played in musical groups throughout her school years, including the concert band at Norwich University. After college Mary focused on career as a leader in Product Management for companies like Visa, JP Morgan Chase and others. Work kept her away from music for 25 years until she joined the WCB in 2015. Mary took on the role of President in December 2016.
Mike Greenberg, Vice-President
Mike joined the Concert Band in the summer of 1997, and became the trumpet section leader in 1999. Music has always been an important part of his life. Mike started playing at an early age under the tutelage of his grandfather, a professional trumpet player with the Vincent Lopez big band. Mike played trumpet and French horn throughout high school and college where he met his wife, playing with the University of Connecticut Concert and Symphonic Bands. After college Mike continued playing with several community bands including the Windham Swing Band and local musical theater groups. Mike became a member of the Board of Directors in December 2016.
Liz Martin, Treasurer
Liz joined the Concert Band in 2014 after a 15 year hiatus from trumpet playing. After studying trumpet in high school, she pursued a double major in Geology and Environmental Science in college. After 10 years as a geologist in Environmental Consulting, Liz left the industry to become a full-time stay-at-home mom. She joined the Board as Treasurer in December, 2015.
Ryan Shumway, Secretary
Ryan Shumway is a Music Educator in the Pelham School District. He received his degree in music education from George Mason University where he played in numerous musical groups. Ryan now plays trombone in several groups including the Concert Band and Swing Band. He joined the board in December, 2015.
Dena Hoffman, Member at Large
Dena began playing trumpet in sixth grade. In high school, she played in the concert band and was the drum major of the marching band. She continued playing at UNH where she performed with the concert band, symphonic band, four o’clock jazz band, marching band, pep band, and was a brother of the honorary band fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi. Dena lead the Wildcat Marching Band as a drum major for three seasons. Dena is currently employed by the Town of Pelham, using her bachelor’s degree in environmental science. Dena joined the Windham Community Band in the summer of 2019 and became a member at large in fall of 2021.
Bill Cheyne, Member at Large – Booking Manager
Bill joined the Band in 1997 shortly after it was formed, and played at our first performance. He started clarinet in seventh grade and continued through high school and college. After many years away from music he found the Band. Bill worked with our founders, first conductor and others in helping to form our first board of directors, and served on the board as secretary in the early years. He is the clarinet section leader.
Allyson Jutras, Member at Large
Allyson has been a percussionist with the Windham Concert Band since 2012. Prior to the concert band, she studied flute through middle and high school. At the age of 7 she started playing piano, an endeavor she continued through high school and resumed as an adult. Allyson became a member of the board in December 2016.
Vinphin Kundukulam, Member at Large
Vinphin has been a percussionist with the Windham Concert Band since 2014. He is an embedded engineer by profession and passionate percussionist and photographer. He plays with other ethnic bands and have accompanied award winning playback singers and grammy winning artists from India when they perform in the New England area. Vinphin became a member of the board in March 2023.

David Howard - Former President
David has been with the WCB since August 1997. He served as the band’s first president, 1999-2001, and returned to the board in December 2005. He has been president since January, 2006 thru December 2016. David has been involved in all aspects of the band, particularly publicity and fundraising. David retired as President in December 2016.
Donna Markham - Former Vice President
Donna joined the band in August 1997 and was the board’s first Secretary. After two years she switched to Treasurer and has served in that position ever since. In addition to keeping track of the band’s finances, she takes on a variety of jobs to keep our events and the organization running smoothly. In 2015 and 2016 , Donna became the Vice President of the organization. Donna is Coordinator of Searles School and Chapel in Windham. Donna retired from the Band in December 2016.
Mike Carchia - Former Vice President & Band Manager
Mike is a charter member of the band, joining in May, 1997. He was Band Librarian in the early years, joined the board in 2002, and served as President from 2002 through 2005. Assisted by co-founder Frank Rydstrom, Mike was the booking manager for the Concert and Swing Bands. He maintained our website. Mike is the trombone section leader and plays trombone in both the Concert Band and Swing Band. Mike stepped down as Vice President in 2015 after many years of exceptional service to the organization.
Mike Kulik - Former Swing Band Representative
Mike moved to New Hampshire from New Jersey in 2005. He has been playing the trumpet since age 11 and enjoys all styles of music. He joined the Concert Band in 2006 and the Swing Band in 2007. Currently Mike devotes his playing time solely to the Swing Band. With an interest in audio recording, Mike has made recordings of many performances of the Concert and Swing Bands, and is in charge of the band's sound systems. He also records concerts for The Windham High School, and other area bands. Mike was elected to the board in December, 2010. Mike retired from the Swing Band in December 2016.
Trinnie Cortez - Former Member-at-Large
Trinnie joined the concert band to share his love for music with his son. As a dedicated parent and business professional playing his clarinet was placed on hold. Over 20 years later, Trinnie was reminded of his passion for music when his youngest son began playing an instrument. Today, he creates balance between working and playing so that others may enjoy and to relax. Trinnie joined the concert band in 2015 and joined the Board in 2016.
